The troop is conduction an outings survey. The information from the survey will help us as we move forward planning next year's calendar. If you haven't done so already, please fill out the survey.

Election Results

Congratulations to our new Troop Leadership!

ILST -- Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops -- will be November 1, 2014 from 12 to 5 pm. All scouts are welcome to attend. Everyone with a position is encourage to attend. SPL, ASPL, Patrol Leaders, Scribes, and Quartermasters are required to attend. If you aren’t sure you need to come, ask Mr. Landquist.

Coed Camporee → October Outing
October 17-19, 2014

It’s rockets! We’re camping at Mukwanago Park and the activity will be rockets! Come have a “blast” on this fall outing.

Cost: $25 / person. Money and permission slips are due at the October 14 troop meeting.

Webelos Day Outing
October 30, 2014

Much like Webelos Jamoree, this is the chance to show off the troop! It’s a non-school day -- who wants to sit at home and be bored... Come to Lapham Peak and hang out with Webelos! We would like ALL scouts to attend.

Planning Lock-In
October 30, 2014

It’s almost time to plan for 2015! Mr. Landquist and the PLC have some exciting new ideas to make the planning more interesting and go quicker so you can enjoy the rest of the evening having fun together.

The PLC will be opening the suggestion box in October. Each patrol will be assigned outings to research and bring back to the planning meeting. What information do you need to research? Where to go? What to do? Merit Badge Counselors to contact? How much it’s going to cost?

Permission slips are out. The outing is free if you're also attending the Webelos Day Outing.

*** Also this year: We’re asking everyone to bring a large bag (not snack-size) of some snack item to share. ***

Creep-o-Ree -- A Minute to Win-it!
November 7-9, 2014

Compete in ten challenges using household items. 60 seconds are on the clock. Can you do it? There will be the same games and same difficultly level as the game show, with prizes. Saturday’s “costume” is unit or school spirit: wear your school colors or your troop’s activity shirt (decide amongst your group which you will do). There is a dance and Saturday’s lunch and dinner are included.

Cost: $40 / person by October 28th.

Eagle Cave
December 13-14, 2014

Our last planned outing for the year is a trip to Eagle Cave in Blue River, Wisconsin. Spend a fun night exploring the cave and sleeping in it! It is highly recommended that you visit Good Will and purchase used clothing -- two or three outfits -- as you will be getting muddy in the cave and you cannot wear any items from this cave into another cave.

Time: Meet at ETC at 9 am on December 13. Return around noon on December 14.

Cost: $60 / person.

Permission slips and money due November 25, 2014.

Want to know how much money’s in your scout account? Can’t remember if you signed up for an outing? You can find out on-line.

Check out the Troop 4 Portal -- http://www.esitec.net/t4/t4portal. Parents... You can now have your own logon. If you have more than one scout in the troop, you can associate all your scouts with one user name!

Round Table Changes

Going into the fall, there are some changes to Round Table. For Boy Scouts, we will still be meeting the First Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise noted) from 7 - 8 pm. Our new location is St. John’s Lutheran Church on Davidson Road in Brookfield. OA chapter meetings are before Roundtable starting at 6:30 pm.

Please pass to cub scout leaders: There will be 2 cub scout Round Tables: the First Tuesday (at Trinity United Church of Christ in Brookfield) and the First Thursday (at St. John Northwestern Military Academy) from 7 - 8 pm. The program at both will be the same and they are encouraged to attend the one that works best for them.
