Eagle Cave
December 13-14, 2014

Our last planned outing for the year is a trip to Eagle Cave in Blue River, Wisconsin. Spend a fun night exploring the cave and sleeping in it! It is highly recommended that you visit Good Will and purchase used clothing -- two or three outfits -- as you will be getting muddy in the cave and you cannot wear any items from this cave into another cave.

Time: Meet at ETC at 8 am (NOTE Arrival Time Change) on December 13. Return around noon on December 14.

Cost: $60 / person.

2015 Calendar

Planning was a rousing success and we have a calendar for 2015 (along with some fun events for 2016 already having been approved).

Parents, the calendar will be presented at the November 18 troop meeting. This is an important meeting to attend as this is your opportunity to tell us of any known conflicts (school schedules, etc) and to give your input on the boys’ decisions. Also, it’s your chance to be involved by helping a scout coordinate the outing (making reservations, etc).

The new calendar is up on the Troop’s website. Please get the dates into your calendar now so we can get as many scouts as possible at the outings.

Recharter
DUE: November 25, 2014

The recharter packets will be handed out at the November 11 troop meeting. Please stop and pick yours up (scouts & adults). Verify the information on the data sheet is correct, sign the Code of Conduct, and fill out the Class A&B medical form. Turn it in plus the dues (both troop and OA) on November 25 at the troop meeting.

Note: The Committee voted at the November meeting to increase dues $5. The 2015 dues are $50 per scout.

Chili’s Fundraiser
November 1, 2014 - January 31, 2015

We’re having a Chili’s Fundraiser again this year. What do you have to do? Pass out the coupons (also available with the fall fundraiser) to anyone you know -- friends, family, coworkers. That’s it! When they go to the Chili’s on Sunset and turn the coupon in, the Troop will get 10% of their bill!

Movie & Game Night
December 30, 2014

It’s a 5th Tuesday! We’re going to have a movie & game night December 30th. From 6:30 - 8 pm. We’ll watch a movie and play board games. If you’re interested in suggesting movies or bringing a game, talk with the PLC.

January Activities

Rather than a single outing, the Troop decided to do day activities on several weekends.

January 10 -- Service Opportunity -- Helping at the Mukwanago Cub-O-Ree
January 17 -- Outdoor Fun! -- Participating in the River Trails Klondike
January 24 or 31 -- Ice Skating Fun! -- Spending a fun afternoon on the Ice.

The next Court of Honor will be January 18! The Court of Honor Committee is already coming up with the menu and looking for a scout interested in being the Emcee. Interested? Shoot Liz an email and she’ll pass it along.
