Chili’s Fundraiser
November 1, 2014 - January 31, 2015

We’re almost at the end of the Chili’s Fundraiser! Keep passing out the coupons (available to print off the troop website) to anyone you know -- friends, family, coworkers. That’s it! When they go to the Chili’s on Sunset and turn the coupon in, the Troop will get 10% of their bill!

January Activities

Rather than a single outing, the Troop decided to do day activities on several weekends.

January 17 -- Outdoor Fun! -- Participating in the River Trails Klondike
There is an option to camp out Friday night as well.
Permission slips are available. For the discount price, turn them in by December 16

February 1 -- Ice Skating Fun! -- Spending a fun afternoon on the Ice.
Permission slips are out! You will meet and pay at Eble Ice Park (the troop is not collecting the money).

The next Court of Honor will be January 18! The Court of Honor Committee has sent out the invitation via email. Dylan S is going to be our emcee. See everyone there!

Friends of Scouting
January 18, 2015

We’re doing it again! If we meet our Friends of Scouting goal, we won’t have a presentation at the Court of Honor. Pledge cards will be available at the January 13 Troop Meeting. Turn your form in that night! We made it last year, let’s see if we can do it again this year!

What’s our goal this year? $3,060.

Summer Camp 2015
July 5-11, 2014

It’s not too early to start thinking about Summer Camp! The early bird price (paid in full by February 24) is $290. Permission slips are out.

Information about merit badges offered will be sent around as soon as it’s made available. Start thinking about badges you want to work or outposts you’d like to go on.

February Snow Sports Outing
February 21-22, 2015

Mark your calendar! We’re going skiing, tubing or snow boarding at Cascade Mountain again. Watch for permission slips becoming available later this month.

Pinewood Derbies

We’ve got three Pinewood Derbies to run this month and one next month.

Jan 16 (Fri) - 5:30 pm setup - P163 Bethesda Elementary in Waukesha
Jan 21 (Wed) - 5:30 pm setup - P15 North Prairie Village Hall in North Prairie
Jan 31 (Sat) - P212 Oconomowoc
Feb 19 (Thur) - Montessori in Waukesha

This counts as service hours. Sign ups will be available at the troop meetings.

Philmont 2016!
August 7, 2016 for 12-Days!

The troop was lucky enough to win a Philmont Expedition in 2016. There is space for ONLY 9 SCOUTS. A $100 non-refundable deposit will be due in January 2015 to hold your spot.

The expedition cost is $870 (not including travel). Travel expenses and the exact dates of the trip are being researched; more information will come later. A meeting for parents will be scheduled after the January deposit date - look for information about travel, equipment, and preparation to come.

2015 Calendar

The new calendar is up on the Troop’s website. Please get the dates into your calendar now so we can get as many scouts as possible at the outings.

If you’d like to be involved by helping a scout coordinate the outing (making reservations, etc) let Jim Anderson know.

Parents... You can now have your own logon. If you have more than one scout in the troop, you can associate all your scouts with one user name! Email Liz with any questions.
