It’s not too early to start thinking about Summer Camp! The early bird price (paid in full by February 24) is $290. Permission slips are out.

Information about merit badges offered will be sent around as soon as it’s made available. Start thinking about badges you want to work or outposts you’d like to go on.

February Snow Sports Outing
February 21-22, 2015

Spend a fun weekend outdoors! February 21-22 at Camp Grey then Tubing in the Dells.

Cost: $30 (cabin only); $60 (with tubing)
Time: Meet at ETC Sat, Feb 21 at 8 AM.... Leaving promptly at 8:15. Returning to ETC Sun, Feb 22 late afternoon.

Note: There are indoor and outdoor activities, please pack and dress accordingly. Turn in permission slips ASAP.

Swimming Pre-Test Outing
March 20-22, 2015

It’s a weekend of fun, service, and advancement! We’re going to spend the weekend in a cabin in Mukwonago Park. Saturday we’ll come back for Scouting For Food. Sunday, we’re going to the Mukwonago YMCA for the summer camp swimming test.

This is an IMPORTANT outing to attend if you’re going to camp. Getting our swimming tests done ahead saves time at check-in at summer camp.

Watch for the permission slip at February troop meetings.

Scouting for Food
March 21, 2015

We’re picking up the bags again this year. We need ADULT HELP! Parents, we need drivers to shuttle the boys and food. It’s an easy, fun service project.

Meet at ETC at 9 AM on March 21. The boys will be coming back from the cabin.

If you can’t go on the swimming outing, COME HELP FOR THE MORNING. We need a lot of scout help also: collection food from the neighborhood, sorting it, counting it, boxing it, and delivering it to the Food Pantry.

This is a fabulous service opportunity for the scouts and really helps the community.

Spring Fundraiser
February 10 - 24, 2015

We’re selling Racine Kringle and Cheesecake again for our spring sale. Forms will be going out at the February 10 troop meeting. Money and forms are due back at the February 24 meeting.

Product will be delivered March 28 -- In time for Easter!

Pinewood Derbies

We’ve got one Pinewood Derbies to run this month and one (possibly) next month.

Feb 19 (Thur) - Montessori in Waukesha

This counts as service hours. Sign ups will be available at the troop meetings.

NYLT Ice Cream Social
March 8, 2015

Interested in attending NYLT this year? Want to more about what it is? Come to the Ice Cream Social! March 8 from 1:30 to 3 pm at St. John Lutheran’s Church (on Davidson Road in Brookfield).

Course Dates: June 14-19, 2015 at Camp Long Lake
Cost: $290 if paid at the Ice Cream Social

The Troop has some campership funds available. To apply for them, fill out the application from the troop website and turn it into the committee.

Philmont 2016
August 7, 2016 for 12-Days!

Watch for information on practice hikes and fundraising.

A parent meeting was held in January. If you didn’t attend, contact Rob.

The new calendar is up on the Troop’s website. Please get the dates into your calendar now so we can get as many scouts as possible at the outings.

If you’d like to be involved by helping a scout coordinate the outing (making reservations, etc) let Jim Anderson know.

Parents... You can now have your own logon. If you have more than one scout in the troop, you can associate all your scouts with one user name! Email Liz with any questions.
