December Outing
December 12-13, 2015

The December outing is scheduled for Eagle Cave... Watch for more information at troop meetings.

2016 Calendar

We have outings! The boys did a great job with planning our 2016 Calendar. Highlight events include: Scuba Discovery, Fox River Canoe/Kayak, Elroy-Sparta Bike Outing, and Devil’s Lake. Plus the Philmont Trek already scheduled.

Looking to 2017, there’s National Jamboree (sign up now through the Council) and the guys are working on a Mackinac Island Bike Trip.

A full-year printed calendar and the on-line calendar will be available at the November 17 Adult Outing meeting.

Adult Outing Meeting
November 17, 2015

The boys have picked their events and most of the weekends (there are a few dates that need to be finalized). Now it’s up to us to help them put it into being!

We need ADULT help to actually go on these outings. What type of help? It can be as simple as making phone calls for reservations, basically being the boys’ credit card (yes, the troop fully reimburses), to driving boys to outings or service projects, or as involved as being an adult leader on the outing.

ALL parents are asked to attend the November 17 troop meeting for the Adult Outing meeting. The full calendar will be presented and then you’ll have the opportunity to volunteer to help the boys put their outings together.

Recharter
Packets Due to Troop: November 24 at the Troop Meeting

As we come to the end of the year, it’s time for rechartering. Scout and Leader packets will be handed out at the November 10 troop meeting. They are due back at the November 24 meeting along with any payments owed.

What do you need to do? Verify your information on the data sheet; update anything that’s changed. Turn in an updated Part A & Part B of your medical form -- please WRITE IMMUNIZATION DATES ON THE FORM. Troop dues ($50 for the year) and OA dues ($12 for regular or $75 for sustaining member) are due at this time. Sign in the troop Code of Conduct and hand it in.

That’s it. Simple. We look forward to another fun year of scouting with all the boys.

Fall Fundraiser

The fall fundraiser pick up is the afternoon of November 14. If you need to schedule a different time, contact Mrs. Anderson. Deliver the product as soon after pickup as possible. Balance of money owed is due at the November 17 troop meeting.

Court of Honor
January 2016

The Court of Honor is an important time in a Troop: we recognize all the hard work the boys have been doing -- not just those that earn merit badges and rank advancements but everyone who’s worked on their scouting skills and attended troop activities. Be aware the Court of Honor is coming and watch for the calendar and the date of the event.
