2017 Calendar

The Calendar is UP! Pick up a printed copy at the troop meeting or find it on the Troop website. Put the dates into your calendars now!

Parents, there are still opportunities to help coordinate outings.

Boy Scout Advancement Updates

If you are still on the OLD requirements you have until December 31, 2016 to finish the rank you are currently working on (working on Tenderfoot, Second Class or First Class under the old requirements you can finish up through First Class). After December 31, 2016 you will automatically switch to the new rank requirements -- there may be additional requirements for you to finish!

Mr. Landquist will be talking with the scouts that are still on the Old Requirements this month.

Crew 4
Informational Meeting: December 14, 2016

An informational meeting about Venturing and Crew 4 will be December 14, 2017 at ETC at 7 pm. Invite your friends and come see what it’s about

Court of Honor & FOS Presentation
January 7, 2017 - 2 pm

It’s time to recognize all those scouts that have earned advancement in the last six months. The January Court of Honor will be January 7, 2017 at 2 pm at St. John Neumann (in the lower hall). Watch your email for more information.

We will also have our 2017 Friends of Scouting Presentation and Pledge Drive at that time. Help the Council provide support for the Troop’s program. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes support we get from Potawatomi Area Council -- Camp Long Lake, professional scouting expertise, the Scout Shop, activities such as Creep-o-Ree and Troop Shoot, and much more.

Winter Blast
January 14, 2017 @ Sussex Hamilton High School

It’s the Cub Scout Winter Blast! But wait... We’re a Boy Scout Troop?

We’re going to run a program area and teach the Cub Scouts. Earn service hours and help Cub Scouts earn an Adventure for their rank advancement.

Sign up at a Troop Meeting!

Winter Cabin Camp
January 27-29, 2017

A fun weekend of Indoor and Outdoor activities at Camp Long Lake. We’ll be staying in the Rotary Cabin. If you are interested in attempting a Polar Bear -- see Mr. Landquist as soon as possible.

Remember... This is JANUARY -- bring warm clothing for outside, boots and shoes, and an extra pair of pants and socks to change into after outdoor fun. Sledding will be available (assuming there’s snow) but you MUST have a helmet (bike helmets are OK) per BSA rules.
