July 11 Troop Meeting - At St. John Neumann

We’ll be doing service and grounds maintenance at St. John Neumann on July 11. Meet at St. John Neumann at 6:30. Bring work gloves and wear long pants. Bring bug stuff too. If you have rakes, trimmers, and clippers you are free to bring them.

July Outing
July 16 - 18, 2017

Please note that the July Outing to Governor Dodge State Park is scheduled for SUNDAY, July 16 to TUESDAY, July 18 due to the campground already being booked for all weekends this summer.

Parents, we will need leaders who can take a couple of days off work. Please look at your calendars and save the dates! We especially need someone who can pull the troop trailer!

Cost: $30 / person. Sign up by June 24.

Cobia Submarine
August 11-12, 2017

Cost: $60 / person ($48 if you had signed up for December and received a partial refund). Permission slips are due back by July 11, 2017.

Pack Light: You won’t need more on the sub than a Sleeping Bag & Pillow, water bottle and pajamas.

BRING A BAG DINNER for Friday night.

OA Fall Conference
August 25-27, 2017

Scouts that were elected into the OA will have another opportunity to do their Ordeal at Fall Conference. Congratulations to Jimmy N who completed his OA Ordeal while at Summer Camp.

Also at Fall Conference: Brotherhood conversions and ceremonies and Vigil ceremonies, as well as important service to camp.

Webelos Jamoree
September 8-10, 2017

Show Webelos Scouts how much fun Boy Scouts can be! We’ll be participating in Webelos Jamoree again this year.

Permission slips are out. Cost is $15 / person.

Swamp Fox Service Outing
September 22-24, 2017

It’s an opportunity to get service hours and help cub scouts have fun outdoors! We’re going to be the service patrol on the September 22-24 weekend of Swamp Fox.

Badger Trail’s Devil’s Lake

Save the Date! We’ve scheduled to go to the Badger Trail’s Devil’s Lake Hike event. More information will come as it’s available.

Service Opportunities

Highway Clean Up - 3 over the course of the spring/summer/fall - watch for dates!

Cub Day Camps - 4 camps over the course of the summer. See the Council website for information on who to contact about volunteering.

PAC Community Garden - The Council is once again sponsoring a community garden. They need people to go periodically over the summer to weed and harvest. The Garden is at the Council Service Center -- feel free to drop in and help.

Scout Day at the County Fair - July 20 - there is an opportunity for both discounted entry and service hours at the County Fair.

Swamp Fox Service Patrol - we’ll be doing this again this fall. Watch for dates when the weekend is finalized.
