Everyone with a position must attend. Anyone else interested may attend.

Webelos Day Outing & Planning Lock-In
October 26, 2017

It’s that time of year again! Time to show Webelos scouts how fun the outdoors can be and introduce them to Troop 4. Our annual outing to Lapham Peak happens during the day on October 26th.

Then, that night... You get to plan 2018’s outings! The lock-in will run overnight with movies and games when not planning the calendar.

Cost: $4 / person for the day outing.
$2 / person for the lock-in. The lock-in is FREE if you do both activities!

Creep-o-Christmas
November 3-5, 2017

We’re flipping things around -- Santa comes at night and so they’ll have activities all night Friday and sleep Saturday. There will still be a movie/dance Saturday night. Tshirts are included with on-time registrations.

Cost: $40 / person by September 12 ($45 after September 12)
Where: Camp Long Lake

Space is limited by the Council. Late registrations may be wait-listed. Permission Slips are out... Turn them in as soon as possible.

Eagle Cave
December 9-10, 2017

The last overnight of 2017 will be at Eagle Cave on December 9th. We’re meeting Saturday morning, December 9th at 8 am. We’ll be back Sunday around noon. Bring old clothes as you’ll get to explore the cave.

Cost: $65 / person

Permission slips are available. We’re reserved 15 spots.

NOTE: White-nosed syndrome affects the bats in Wisconsin. You CANNOT wear anything in Eagle Cave that was worn in another cave (even if it’s been washed since). It’s suggested to go to Goodwill or St. Vincent de Paul and pick up old clothing to use in the cave.

Service Opportunities

Highway Clean Up - 1 more this year after the Planning Lock-In - estimated start time is 8 am

Troop Dues Increase

Recharter is just around the corner and National has increased their registration fees. This means the troop needs to increase their dues to cover the increased cost.

Troop dues for 2018 will go up to $60 for the year.

We have not heard at this time if OA dues will be going up.

Scoutbook - Have You Logged In?

The troop transitioned to Scoutbook last year. You should have received an invitation from Scoutbook about accessing the Troop’s account.

What does this mean? You can edit yours or your scout’s profile information (address, phone numbers, school & grade) inside Scoutbook! You can also see where your scout is in his advancement and what he needs to work on.

This year with recharter, we will not be printing the personal data sheet -- you will be expected to go into Scoutbook by November 1 to update this information yourself.

Don’t have access? Can’t find the invitation email? See Liz.

A “Scoutbook FYI” session will be held on October 17 during the Troop Meeting. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) to access Scoutbook while we talk and walk you through accessing the features.
