Eagle Cave
December 9-10, 2017

The last overnight of 2017 will be at Eagle Cave on December 9th. We’re meeting Saturday morning, December 9th at 8 am. We’ll be back Sunday around noon. Bring old clothes as you’ll get to explore the cave.

Cost: $65 / person

Permission slips are available. We’re reserved 15 spots.

NOTE: White-nosed syndrome affects the bats in Wisconsin. You CANNOT wear anything in Eagle Cave that was worn in another cave (even if it’s been washed since). It’s suggested to go to Goodwill or St. Vincent de Paul and pick up old clothing to use in the cave.

2018 Calendar

We have activities! The 2018 calendar is out and available.

We will need your help! While the scouts plan the activities at each of the outings and the menus, we need parents to make reservations, help the scouts shop for food, and (especially) drive and/or be adult supervision at the outings.

Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Danner will have a sign up for assisting with the back-end planning of the various outings and activities over the next year. As we approach each outing, we’ll be looking for adult leadership (we need at least 2 adults on every outing or they can’t happen) and for adults to drive to and from the outings.

St. John Neumann Christmas Set Up
December 17, 2017

St. John Neumann has asked for scouts to help set up chairs and such for the Christmas events after the 10:30 mass on Sunday, December 17th.

Be at SJN around 11:15 - 11:25. If we get enough people helping, you should be home in time for the Packer game kick off.

January & February Outing

January’s outing is an overnight at Adventure Rock. Watch for more information as we get the date finalized.

February will be a cabin camp. Tentatively the weekend of February 9-11. Once we have our cabin secured, we’ll put out permission slips so watch for more information!

Winter Blast Service Day
January 13, 2018

We have signed up to teach various cub scouts skills to help them reach their rank achievements. We’ll be at the Sussex Winter Blast on January 13 at Sussex/Hamilton High School. There is a sign up at the troop meeting.

Court of Honor & Friends of Scouting

Our winter Court of Honor will likely be in early February. Keep your eye out for the date.

This is the Court of Honor where we do our Friends of Scouting presentation. Watch in January for the ‘pre campaign”. If we can reach our FOS goal before the Court of Honor, we won’t have the presentation! More information will be coming.

Pinewood Derbies will be starting in January, watch for information about when and where.

Scoutbook - Have You Logged In?

The troop transitioned to Scoutbook last year. You should have received an invitation from Scoutbook about accessing the Troop’s account.

What does this mean? You can edit yours or your scout’s profile information (address, phone numbers, school & grade) inside Scoutbook! You can also see where your scout is in his advancement and what he needs to work on.

This year with recharter, we will not be printing the personal data sheet -- you will be expected to go into Scoutbook by November 1 to update this information yourself.

Don’t have access? Can’t find the invitation email? See Liz.
