All elected and appointed leadership positions must attend ILST. Don’t have a position? You’re still welcome to attend to see what’s what.

Troop Shoot
April 27-29, 2018

It’s the Council’s annual Troop Shoot! Scouts ages 12 and up can compete in shooting competitions, there are individual and patrol events. New Scouts? You can come and get more camping experience while working on scouting skills before Summer Camp.

Cost: $63 / shooter; $18 / adult ($73 & $28 after March 27); $20 / non-shooting scout

Sign up fast! Space is limited to 150 scouts. Permission slips are available.

May Canoe Outing

Save the date & watch for more information. The May canoe outing will be May 12 -- we’re canoeing on the Fox River as part of the Pewaukee River Run.

No, it’s not too early to be thinking about this summer’s Summer Camp! Spend a week at Camp Long Lake earning advancement, working on merit badges, and having fun!

Price is $330 until April 24, After April 24 it’s $355.
Scouts who just crossed over, you get the early bird price of $305 until May 16.

Attending NYLT and Summer Camp? You get a second-week discount on summer camp -- your price: $255 until April 24.

NYLT
Course: June 10-15, 2018

Want to learn more about being a leader? Looking to be SPL or ASPL? NYLT is for you! It’s a week of learning about and putting into practice leadership skills while camping. The course is the week after school’s out: June 10-15th.

Seabase Crews

The final Seabase payment is coming up! You should have been contacted by your Crew leadership. See Liz if you aren’t sure how much you still owe or what the last Seabase payment is. (Transportation payments are still pending, this is just the fees owed to Seabase.)

Health Forms! You MUST have a Class C (doctor signed) health form. Your Crew leadership has the list of whose health form is valid and who needs an updated form. (Hint: pretty much everyone needs an updated form.)

July Bike Outing

July’s planned outing is biking on the Elroy-Sparta State Trail. This is the one with the tunnels! Watch for more information and dates.

Scoutbook - Have You Logged In?

The troop transitioned to Scoutbook last year. You should have received an invitation from Scoutbook about accessing the Troop’s account.

What does this mean? You can edit yours or your scout’s profile information (address, phone numbers, school & grade) inside Scoutbook! You can also see where your scout is in his advancement and what he needs to work on.

Don’t have access? Can’t find the invitation email? See Liz.

Got Advancement?

Looking to have requirements signed off? Remember, it’s up to you to seek out a scout First Class or Above to test and sign off on your requirements. Once they’ve dated and initialed your advancement sheet, drop it in the box and it will get recorded in Scoutbook. Not in the box or without the initials of whoever signed it off? It doesn’t get recorded.

What about Merit Badges? Once you decide you want to work on a badge, fill out a Blue Card and take it to Mr. Landquist to sign off. He’ll also help you find merit badge counselors. Having issues contacting a counselor? Let Mr. Landquist know so he can help find another counselor.

Lost & Found

Can’t find something after an outing? Check the Troop’s Lost & Found!

Items will remain in the lost & found for three months and then will be disposed of (either donated or trashed depending on the item and its condition).
