We’re having our annual Day Outing with the Webelos on Saturday, October 26th at Lapham Peak. Start thinking about what activities you might like to do to highlight the fun we have in Troop 4!

Parents: we are looking for a Webelos coordinator to contact all the Packs in the Waukesha area about the outing. We are also looking for several parents to assist with the setup and running of the Day.

Upcoming Outings - Keep An Eye Open for More Information

The FUN in scouting is the outings! Here’s the list... Most of these dates are firm but one or two are still tentative.

September - Webelos Jamoree (September 6-8)
- 4G Swamp Fox Service Outing (September 13-15)
October - Devil’s Lake (October 4-6)
- Webelos Day Outing (October 26)
- 4B Planning Lock-In (October 26-27)
November - Creep-o-Ree (November 1-3)
December - Eagle Cave (December 7-8) - Tentative

Having the events is only half the battle... Activities can’t happen without participation -- the Scouts’ and the parents. Save dates on your calendars and keep an eye out for permission slips as things get finalized.

Got Advancement?

Looking to have requirements signed off? Remember, it’s up to you to seek out a scout First Class or Above to test and sign off on your requirements. Once they’ve dated and initialed your advancement sheet, drop it in the box and it will get recorded in Scoutbook. Not in the box or without the initials of whoever signed it off? It doesn’t get recorded.

What about Merit Badges? Once you decide you want to work on a badge, fill out a Blue Card and take it to Mr. Landquist or Mrs. Tahtinen to sign off. They’ll also help you find merit badge counselors. Having issues contacting a counselor? Let Mr. Landquist know so he can help find another counselor.

Service Opportunities

We have a few more service opportunities planned for this summer:
September 28 - Final Highway Clean Up for 2019. Watch for times to be announced.

September 23 (Monday) - Watch for information about a service opportunity through our Chartered Organization, St. John Neumann, as part of their 7 days of service. More information will be presented as it becomes available.
