4B 2020 Calendar

We have activities! The scouts picked their 2020 events and activities. The calendar will be distributed at the Parent Meeting at the December 10 troop meeting. The Calendar will be handed out and the signup genius for outings will go live.

IMPORTANT -- we still need your help! These events aren’t possible without adult support. Making reservations, taking leadership of an event, and attending are all items that the troop needs or cancellations will need to happen.

Sign up to coordinate or Lead an Outing on Sign Up Genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B094BA9AB23A2FF2-20201

Especially needed are adults to coordinate the January Outings: we’re doing several different day outings including: Helium, Go Karts, and possibly taking the train to the Shed Aquarium. Keep a watch out for the permission slips and sign-ups.

Find a printable version of the calendar on the troop's website.

Summer Camp 2020
June 21-28, 2020

Save the Date! 4B & 4G will be at Camp Long Lake the week of June 21-28, 2020. Permission slips will be available in January, the merit badge sign ups will be available after the Long Lake Chili Supper in February.

Got Advancement?

Looking to have requirements signed off? Remember, it’s up to you to seek out a scout First Class or Above to test and sign off on your requirements. Once they’ve dated and initialed your advancement sheet, drop it in the box and it will get recorded in Scoutbook. Not in the box or without the initials of whoever signed it off? It doesn’t get recorded.

What about Merit Badges? Once you decide you want to work on a badge, fill out a Blue Card and take it to Mr. Landquist or Mrs. Tahtinen to sign off. They’ll also help you find merit badge counselors. Having issues contacting a counselor? Let Mr. Landquist or Mrs. Tahtinen know so he can help find another counselor.

December’s Quiz

  1. What fifty-mile waterway stretches from Limon Bay on the Caribbean to the Bridge of the Americas?
  2. What endangered animal uses its tail as a blanket when it sleeps?
  3. What city-state's entire military consists of Swiss soldiers?

November’s Answers: 1) National Novel Writing Month. 2) Croquet. 3) A very big tooth, which grows through the top of the narwhal's head.
