Wreath Sale

This year’s wreath sale started October 1st. Order forms were passed out at the September 27th meeting. If you need additional order forms, see Liz.

We will be selling at St. John Neumann’s after the masses October 15 (after the 5pm mass) and October 16 (after the 8:30 and 11:30 masses). Any boys interested, there will be a sign-up available at the next troop meeting.

Remember, wreaths are a good way to earn money for troop activities. 100% of the profits from the sale goes into your Scout Account.

DATES: October 1 to October 26. Order forms MUST be back to Liz by October 26th.

Fall Popcorn Sale

The Potawatomi Area Council fall popcorn sale starts October 7th. We have ordered show-and-sell popcorn if any boy is interested. Pick-up for show-and-sell will be October 7 and 8.

Take-order order forms were handed out at the September 27th troop meeting. There are additional forms available if you need them. There is also a special patch from the Council for any boy that fills their take-order sheet.

DATES: October 7 to October 24. Order forms MUST be back to Liz by the October 25th troop meeting if you are doing take-order. NOTE these dates. This is a council-wide fundraiser. We CANNOT sell outside the dates of the sale.

Webelos Jamboree

Everyone had a ton of fun at Webelos Jamboree this year. Literally HUNDREDS of Webelos stopped by our campsite.

Troop 4 ran an obstacle course with Troop 80 out of Menomonee Falls. The boys had fun setting up the course and trying it out.

Pictures of Webelos Jamboree and up on the Troop website in the scrapbook.

Position Elections

It’s been six months since leadership positions were elected and it’s time to elect the leadership for the next six months.

In addition to the SPL (Senior Patrol Leader), ASPL (Asst. Senior Patrol Leaders) and PLs (Patrol Leaders), there are a number of other positions in the troop that need filling!

Quartermaster: The troop’s supply boss. He keeps an inventory of troop equipment and sees that gear is in good condition.

Scribe: The troop’s secretary. Attends patrol leaders’ council and keeps a record of the discussions. Helps the Troop Secretary (adult) with the troop’s website and newsletter.

Instructor: A scout proficient in a Scouting skill that he then teaches to other scouts. A troop can have more than one instructor.

Chaplain’s Aide: Assists the troop chaplain (adult) in serving the religious needs of the troop.
