Do to circumstances beyond our control we are not
going to be able to participate in the St. John Neumann's Parish
festival on June 3rd in the way that we had promised everyone.
Tentatively, this would be a great opportunity for everyone to start
to work on a Cycling Merit Badge which is an Eagle Merit Badge.
We are still planning on having a campout this weekend -- June 2-4.
Only the activity and location (possibly) have changed. More will be
discussed at the Troop Meetings. |

Popcorn is available for pickup at
the May 9 Troop Meeting.
We would like all remaining money handed for popcorn handed back
in at the May 16th Troop Meeting.
Earnings from the popcorn sale will be deposited to your
Scout Accounts after all money is turned in. Statements on
balances in Scout Accounts will be available at the May 23rd
Troop Meeting. |

Uniforms are no longer referred to by the letters
“A” and “B”. The Class A uniform is now called the “Official”
uniform. The Class b is the “Activity” uniform. Because each Troop
designs and sanctions the activity uniform, the Boy Scout salute is
still used when wearing it. Troop 4's activity uniform is the troop
T-shirt. |
AIR MATTRESSES
If you are planning on bringing an air mattress on outings...
Remember, there can be up to 3 boys in a tent. If your air mattress
is bigger than a sleeping bag you may end up sharing. If this gets
to be a problem, the air mattress will be removed from the tent.
FIRST-AID KITS
Everyone is encouraged to bring their personal first-aid kit on
outings. Remember to check it before each outing to make sure it's
stocked. Medicine, however, cannot be kept in the tents... There is
a troop box for medications. New Scouts... Don't worry if you don't
have a personal first-aid kit yet. One of the activities you'll do
this summer is to make one.
TRAILER
Chris J (one of the Troop Quartermasters) did an excellent job
cleaning the trailer. Thanks to everyone who helped. You can help by
keeping the trailer clean and organized when using it. |
