Drop Offs

Anything that is due to the Troop can be dropped off at ETC to Liz or Dean's attention weekdays 8 am - 4:30 pm.

Committee Meeting

The Next Committee Meeting is April 6, 2008. Next Roundtable: April 2 at 7 pm at Butler Middle School.

We got TONS of great comments at Roundtable about the Scouts who helped out.

Swimming Test & Roller Skating

March 15 is the Outing for the Swimming Test & then we're going Roller Skating. Meet at ETC at 9:45 am. Cost for the day is $17 this includes the Swimming Test, Dinner and admission to Skate Land. Not included: Lunch, Snacks or Skate Rental.

If you want to go on the Canoe Outing at the end of May, you MUST come for the Swim Test.

Pine Tree (National Youth Leadership Training)

Want to know what Pine Tree is? Think you might be interested? Pine Tree is the National Youth Leadership Training and it teaches Scouts how to be leaders. It is a week-long course offered at Camp Long Lake June 15th to 20th.

There will be a Free Ice Cream Social where you can find out more information about Pine Tree on March 16 from 1:30pm to 3 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church (20275 Davidson Road off Barker Road) in Brookfield.

Scouting for Food

We're partnering with Pack 163 again this year. The Troop will distribute the bags on March 29th. The Pack will be picking them up on April 5th. Sign up at a Troop Meeting this month!

We're meeting by the McDonald's at the Meadowbrook shopping center at the corner of TT (Meadowbrook/Merrill Hills Road) & 18 (Summit Ave).

PARENTS: We're going to need parents to help drive the boys around the area we're assigned. If you can, sign up at the March 11 or March 18 troop meeting.

Recharter

It's time for Rechartering. The Troop recharters in April. Dues for the next year (April 2008 through March 2009) of $36 are due by the April 8th Troop Meeting. Recharter packets will be available for pick up at the March 11th Troop Meeting and will be mailed out if you cannot attend.

Inside the recharter packet will be an information sheet: double-check the information we have on file and make any corrections if necessary. There will also be an accounting of what's in the scout's Scout Account. Please turn in any monies to cover outstanding balances by April 8th as well.

This year, we would like EVERYONE to fill out a Class 1 medical form (front please). The BSA has changed the Class 1 so that all the information is on the front (with Class 2 on the back). A new Class 1 form will be in your recharter packet. As a heads-up, many of our older scouts also need to renew their Class 2 medical forms... Now is a good time.

Troop Election Results

Troop Elections were held at the February 26th Troop Meeting. Congratulations on the new Troop Leadership!

Fox River Recognition Round Table

The Fox River will be recognizing leaders and other volunteers at the May Round Table. It's a great night to attend! We'd love to see all leaders and anyone else interested attend. When is it? May 7th at Butler Middle School -- buy tickets and eat dinner provided by the OA.

April Outing

As a head's up... We're working on setting up the April Outing as a day-trip. Keep an eye on your email, in April's newsletter, and at troop meetings for more information.

Canoe Outing

Because of a conflict with getting canoes and a service opportunity, we're looking at moving the Canoe Outing from May 31-June 1 to the weekend of June 14 & 15.

St. John Neumann Parish Festival

We've been asked to run the flush tank again at this year's parish festival. The dates are May 31 and June 1 -- more information will be available as we get close to the date.
