Committee Meeting

The Next Committee Meeting is June 8, 2008.

Next Roundtable: May 7 at 6 pm at Butler Middle School.

May -- Fox River Recognition Round Table

The Fox River will be recognizing leaders and other volunteers at the May Round Table. It's a great night to attend! We'd love to see all leaders and anyone else interested attend. When is it? May 7th at Butler Middle School -- buy tickets and eat dinner provided by the OA.

Scout Troops provide the dessert -- some sort of Dutch oven creation. We need scouts to sign up to cook the dessert. Any scout who comes to cook gets dinner free.

April Outing

April's outing is a day trip to Lapham Peak. We'll be playing a variation on capture the flag as well as learning how to use and practicing with the walkie-talkies. For any scout who needs it (or wants it) we're going to have a five-mile hike also.

When: April 19, 2008
Time: Meet at ETC at 9 am. We'll return to ETC at around 7 pm (after dinner).
Cost: $10 -- includes lunch and dinner.

PLEASE have permission slips back by the April 15th Troop Meeting.

Scout Expo

The Scout Expo is at the beginning of May. We've been told there will some neat stuff to see and do. Including a BED RACE!

When: May 2-4, 2008
Time: Meet at ETC at 5 pm on May 2nd. We'll return to ETC at 11 am on May 4th.
Cost: $15

Bring a bag dinner for Friday night. Please have permission slips back by the April 22nd troop meeting.

Canoe Outing

Because of a conflict with getting canoes and a service opportunity, we're looking at moving the Canoe Outing from May 31-June 1 to the weekend of June 14 & 15.

St. John Neumann Parish Festival

The Festival is May 31st and June 1st. We've been asked to run the flush tank again at this year's parish festival. We're going to be working with another unit to run the flush tank on both Saturday and Sunday.

Pine Tree (National Youth Leadership Training)

Want to know what Pine Tree is? Think you might be interested? Pine Tree is the National Youth Leadership Training and it teaches Scouts how to be leaders. It is a week-long course offered at Camp Long Lake June 15th to 20th.

Service Opportunity

It's short notice, yes, but St. John Neumann's is having a Brunch on April 13th. They need people to help with clean-up after because another event is happening that evening. Any scout who wishes to help should get to SJN at 12 pm. Wear your Troop T-shirts.

Scouting for Food

We put out an amazing 2000 bags. Pack 163 picked up an amazing 3000 food items!

Need Camping Gear?

Sherper's is having a Scout Sale on Thursday (April 10). Scouts in uniform get a discount.

Cabela's is also having a Scout Day in May (May 17) at the store in Richfield, WI. Check in is at 9:30 am and challenges will run from 10 am - 4 pm. They'll have GPS, tent raising, map reading, metal detecting, knot tying and more.
