Webelos Day Outing

October 29, 2009

We'll be having our annual Day Outing with Webelos II on October 29, 2009 at Lapham Peak State Park. If you know any Webelos II that would be interested, let Boni Danner know so we can send them the invitation flyer/permission slip.

Time: Meet at ETC at 8 am -- We're planning to leave ETC at 8:20 am and return at 4:30 pm

Cost: $4

Permission slips are available. Please have them back to the troop by October 20th.

Planning Lock-In

October 29, 2009

This is it. We're out of Calendar after Creep-O-Ree in November. You know what that means? It's time for the Planning Lock-In. After the Webelos Day Outing, we'll be spending the night at ETC planning the calendar, watching movies and otherwise having a good time.

Time: Be at ETC by 5 pm (if you didn't go on the Webelos Day Outing). We'll be finished by about 9 am on Friday, October 30th.

Cost: $2
Permission slips are available. Please have them in by October 20th.

Calling all ideas!

The Troop needs your help! We're looking for ideas for outings, campouts, and activities for the scouts for next year. Anyone can contribute ideas: the scouts, mom, dad, older brother, younger sister.

There is a box for outing suggestions and forms on the table at the troop meetings.

Birthdays

Creep-o-Ree

November 6-8, 2009

This year's theme: Mexican Fiesta! There will be costume contests, camp-site decorating contests, cooking contests, a flash-light treasure hunt and much more!

Time: Be at ETC by 4:30 pm, we'll be leaving at 5 pm. Return to ETC on Sunday at about 1 pm.

Cost: $35 / person

Permissions slips are available on-line and at the troop meetings. Sign-up deadline is October 23rd. Bring a bag lunch for Friday's dinner.

Wreath & Fall Popcorn Sale

September 11 - October 2 - October 20

We're half-way through the sale. How's everyone doing?

All order forms are DUE back to the Troop Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Wreaths and Popcorn will be available for pick up the weekend of November 20-22 (sorry I can't give a more exact time until close to the date).

We're looking at up to a 40% commission (to reach that we need everyone to SELL to increase our sales from last year). If you want to know who you sold to last year, let me know and I can give you a copy of your last year's sheets.

Good Turn for America First Aid Day

December 5, 2009

Earn the First Aid Merit Badge! (Eagle required)

Where: Potawatomi Area Council Scout Service Center

Time: Registration at 8:30 am, classes run 9 am to 2 pm

Cost: $15

BRING: Your blue card signed by your Scoutmaster, your personal first aid kit. Read the merit badge book before attending the clinic. Bring snacks to share and drinks for during break.

Permission slips due to Liz by November 24.
