January Cabin Camp
January 14-16, 2011

Don't forget the Cabin Camp! We'll be at Camp Long Lake and there will probably be snow and cold temperatures. Activities will be both INSIDE and OUTSIDE so bring appropriate clothing (and extra clothing).

Cost: $20
Time: Arrive at ETC on Jan 14 by 4:30 pm. Leaving ETC at 5 pm. Returning to ETC on Jan 16 around 11 am.

Pinewood Derbies
January 14, 2011 & January 28, 2011

We've been asked to run two Pack's Pinewood Derbies. This is a fabulous service opportunity and it's a lot of fun to see the Cub Scouts race their cars.

Pack 163 on January 14 at Bethesda Elementary School.

Pack 4 on January 28 at Lowell Elementary School.

Look for a sign-up sheet at Troop Meetings. Those wishing to help with Pack 163 and go to the Cabin Camp should see Boni Danner about getting a ride up to Long Lake on Saturday.

SJN Pancake Breakfast
January 16, 2011

If you're not going to the Cabin Camp, this is a service opportunity to help out at a pancake breakfast hosted by St. John Neumann's on January 16. More information and a sign up will be available at the Troop meeting.

OA Lock-In
February 18-19, 2011

The Onatah District OA Lock-In will be February 18-19 at South High School. There will be all sorts of fun activities. You don't need to be a member of the OA to attend and have a blast. There will be basketball, dodgeball, video games and MORE!

Cost: $15 / scout ($10 / adult)
Time: 10:00 pm check-in on February 18. Activities run until 5:00 am.

Rotary Pancake Festival
February 19, 2011

This is a great service opportunity and a chance to eat all the pancakes you want! Any scout that works get to eat for free! We'll be working the 10:30 am to 2:30 pm shift. Come early with your family and eat before you work. The Rotary Pancake Festival is at Waukesha Expo Center. Sign-ups will be available at Troop Meetings.

Court of Honor
February 20, 2011

SAVE THE DATE! The Winter Court of Honor will be February 20th at St. John Neumann. Watch for more information and a sign-up.

New Round Table Location

The new location didn't work out, so Onatah District has moved their Round Table location to again. The new, new location is Orchard Lane Elementary School in New Berlin.

Summer Camp
July 17-23, 2011

It's time to sign up for Summer Camp again. Permission slips are available.

Remember... Those of you who sold popcorn and wreaths... For every $100 you sold, you earned $5 off of summer camp up to $20! Liz has the list if you can't remember.

Camp fees increased this year. To get the discounts you must be paid in full by the deadline.

Scouting for Food & Whitewater Swimming Pre-Test
March 26-27, 2011

We will be collecting the food in this year's Scouting for Food (Pack 163 is putting out the bags) on March 26. Afterwards we'll head out for our March Cabin Camp and on Sunday we'll go to the Whitewater Aquatic Center to take the Swimming Pre-Tests for Summer Camp.

ALL scouts are encouraged to attend this outing as Swimming Ability is also used by the Troop for outings and we cover swimming requirements from First and Second class at this campout.

Badlands Trip
June 2011

To get this trip planned and under way, we need to know who's interested in going. There has also been a proposal to move the trip from June 20-28 to June 30 - July 8. A survey / deposit slip is now available.

Update: It looks like we will probably be shifting the dates. The PLC will be meeting with Mr. Schramke this month to finalize the dates for the Badlands and the Canoe Outing.
