Council Ski Day
December 28, 2011

The Annual Council Ski Day will be December 28, 2011 at Sunburst Ski Area (Kewaskum, WI). This is not a troop event, but anyone interested is welcome to go.

Registration is 10 am - noon at the Yurt at Sunburst. Skiing from 10 am to 4 pm. Beginner group lessons for all scouts and leaders! Family more than welcome!

Cost: Lift ticket: $35. Ski Rental: $5. Snowboard Rental: $20. Helmet rental: $5. 3 Hours of Tubing: $19.

January Cabin Camp
January 20-22, 2012

Enjoy a weekend of fun in the snow at Camp Long Lake! Inside and outside activities will be available -- DRESS and pack ACCORDINGLY. Anyone wishing to attempt to sleep outside must see Mr. Schramke before the outing.

When: January 20-22, 2012
Time: Meet at ETC at 4:30 pm Jan 20. Leaving at 5 pm. Returning to ETC about 11 am Jan 22.
Cost: $20

Please return permission slips by January 11, 2012.

Pinewood Derby

Troop 4 has been asked by two cub scout packs to run their Pinewood Derbies. There is a third pack that has also shown an interest (Pack 15 on Friday, January 27).

We need four or five scouts each night. This WILL count as service hours! Sign up at a troop meeting.

Wreath & Popcorn Sale

Thanks to everyone who sold! There is still a little money outstanding. If you still have money to turn in, please do so ASAP. Once the majority of the money is turned in, you will see your earnings in your Scout Accounts.

Thank You, Mr. Danner

This is Mr. Danner’s last month as Scoutmaster. Thank you for all the hard work you’ve done getting the troop restarted and making Troop 4 a fabulous place for boys to learn and grow.

Mr. Danner will be staying with the troop as an Assistant Scoutmaster and as the Advancement Chair. Mr. Bomberg will be stepping up into the Scoutmaster position.

Onatah Cub-o-Ree

If you can’t make the January Cabin Camp, consider spending January 21 teaching the cub scouts at the Onatah District Cub-o-Ree. See Liz if you are interested.

Crossovers

It’s almost time for Crossover Ceremonies! Watch at troop meetings and your email for announcements of the dates of these Crossovers. This is when we bring the Webelos II into the troop! We’ll need scouts at each Crossover to welcome them.

Council Dinner
February 23, 2012

The annual Council Recognition Dinner is Thursday, February 23rd. Come spend a night with scouters and see the Potawatomi Area Council’s 2011 Eagle Class! There will be over 100 Eagle Scouts from the Council recognized at the dinner.

Court of Honor & Friends of Scouting
February 28, 2012

Mark your calendars! Our winter Court of Honor will be February 28, 2012. Invite your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles! Dinner will start at 6 pm with the program to follow.

Liz is looking for pictures from outings. If you have any, that you haven’t given her already, please contact her.

This is also the night that we will have our Friends of Scouting presentation. Friends of Scouting makes a lot of the programs and activities the Council sponsors possible.

Crew 4

Crew 4 is being formed at St. John Neumann as a co-ed youth group. Anyone interested see Liz or Boni Danner. The emphasis will be “Religious with Fun”.
