Pancake Festival
February 18, 2012

We will be working at the Rotary Pancake Festival at the Expo Center on February 18th. Mr. Danner will be working from 10:45 am to 2:45 pm -- but you are welcome to work starting at 7:00 am when the Festival starts. All scouts (and adults) who work get free pancakes -- get your tickets from Dean for your free pancakes.

Please sign up at the Troop Meeting. When you arrive at the Pancake Festival, sign in at the Boy Scout Volunteer Table. Sign out when you leave.

Court of Honor & Friends of Scouting
February 28, 2012

Mark your calendars! Our winter Court of Honor will be February 28, 2012. Invite your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles! Dinner will start at 6 pm with the program to follow. The Troop is providing the meat -- watch your email for what you’re supposed to bring.

Liz is looking for pictures from outings. If you have any, that you haven’t given her already, please contact her.

This is also the night that we will have our Friends of Scouting presentation. Friends of Scouting makes a lot of the programs and activities the Council sponsors possible.

Scouting for Food
March 24, 2012

We need ADULTS as DRIVERS for picking up the Scouting for Food bags. We’ll start at 9 am and work until around noon.

Whitewater Swimming Outing
March 24-25, 2012

After Scouting for Food, we’ll have our annual Whitewater Swimming Pre-Test Outing. All scouts should try to attend. If you cannot stay overnight, the pre-test will be Sunday afternoon at the Whitewater Aquatics Center and you can meet us there.

Cost: $20 / person ($7 for swimming only)
Time: Meet at ETC at 9 am for Scouting for Food will leave when finished. Returning to ETC, Sunday in the later afternoon.
Where: Cabin camping at Camp Indian Trails in Janesville and swimming Whitewater Aquatics Center

Northern Lights OA Lock In
February 18, 2012

Onatah is joining with Northern Lights for the OA Lock-In this year. Saturday, February 18, starting at 9:45 pm going until 6 am Sunday. The Lock-In will be at Milwaukee Lutheran High School on West Grantosa Drive in Milwaukee. Cost: $17 / Scout.

Life to Eagle Workshop
February 18, 2012

The Council is having another Life to Eagle Workshop. This will talk about the new Eagle Project Workbooks! There is a morning session and an afternoon session. Sign up at the Council’s website. Any scout that HAS NOT gotten PJ’s signature MUST use the new workbook.

Council Dinner
February 23, 2012

The annual Council Recognition Dinner is Thursday, February 23rd. Come spend a night with scouters and see the Potawatomi Area Council’s 2011 Eagle Class! There will be over 100 Eagle Scouts from the Council recognized at the dinner, including Sam Da from Troop 4.

District Dinner
March 17, 2012

Save the date! The District Dinner will be at the Delafield Brewhaus on March 17. This is where district awards -- including special district awards for Troop volunteers -- are presented. See Liz if you are interested in attending.

Camp Staff Applications

The Council is accepting applications for Camp Staff... But you have to hurry! Interviews will be conducted starting next week. You can find the application on the Council’s web site.

Adults Needed

We need adults willing to work with a scout to coordinate an outing. You do not have to attend the outing, but help the scout with things like making reservations. Outings Needing Adults: April (Kalihari Outing), August (Adventure Rock), November (Creep-o-Ree), December (Roller Skating)

Mammoth Cave
June 18-24, 2012
