May Canoe Outing
May 19-20, 2012

We’re going in at Spring Green and come off the river at Boscobel. You MUST be at least a Beginner (though Swimmer is preferred) to attend this outing. If you need to check your swim level see Mr. Mr. Bomberg.

The May 8 and May 15 Troop Meetings are important to attend as you will be doing part of the mandatory training.

Medication Forms

The Troop’s changed their medication form slightly. These DO NOT replace the Class A or C medical forms! They are a supplement for the troop’s use.

OTC Exclusion Form -- Required once a year with the medical forms. Tells us what Over The Counter medicine the scout CANNOT have.

Prescription Authorization Form -- Required for every outing where a scout must take medication.

The new forms are available both on-line and at the troop meeting. Please fill out the OTC Exemption and turn it in.

Vehicle Information

To be put on the Tour Permit and to be reimbursed for driving miles per the troop policy, you must have your vehicle information on file with the troop. Forms are available at the troop meetings. Please fill one out and turn it in.

Tuesday, May 15 at the Troop Meeting

Money is due back to the troop at the May 22 troop meeting.

Sign Up Early, Sign Up Often

With the size of the Troop growing, it is even more important that we have early and accurate count of who is going on the outings. Please sign up as soon as possible when permission slips come out.

Accurate counts don’t just affect buying the food. Camp site selection, drivers, tour permits, activities can all be affected by the number of people on the outing.

Adults Needed

We need adults willing to work with a scout to coordinate an outing. You do not have to attend the outing, but help the scout with things like making reservations. Outings Needing Adults: August (Adventure Rock), November (Creep-o-Ree), December (Roller Skating)
